McEwen’s on Monroe

McEwen’s on Monroe in Memphis, Tennessee, opened in 1998 with owner Mac Edwards in the kitchen and his wife Cindy working the front of the house. In the years since, the restaurant has amicably changed hands, but the warmth of the dining room and great food are still being enjoyed by regulars to this day. In 2021, the restaurant underwent a makeover. Today, chef Keith Bambrick runs the kitchens, serving “elevated Southern fare,” and diners can rent the wine cellar for private parties or large-group dinners. An offshoot was opened in Oxford, Mississippi, in 2011.
