Su-Jit Lin

Contributor

Raised in a restaurant kitchen in suburban New York, Su-Jit Lin writes from the unique lens of lifelong total immersion in food. Her passion for it is inherited from two generations of Chinese chefs, but her experience was honed working in restaurants in New Orleans during college at Tulane University, then as a food editor in that city. She returned to her roots to cover the burgeoning restaurant scene at home forEdible Long Island.Since then, she has written extensively about food, dining, and groceries for publications that include HuffPost, Serious Eats, The Takeout, EatingWell, The Spruce Eats, Better Homes & Gardens, Real Simple, Kitchn, Simply Recipes, Southern Living, Thrillist, Yummly, AllRecipes, and many others.

She currently resides just outside of Atlanta in her senior rescue dog Lt. Baxter Bear’s retirement home, surrounded by entirely too many groceries and a thriving “collection” of pasta and potato chips. When not working on research, recipe development, essays, and more, she can be found working out.
