Good news for those who shop at both Whole Foods and Amazon: The supermarket chain, now owned by Amazon, announced on Tuesday that it will be offering a list of deals for its firstPrime Daysince theAmazon buyoutlast year. While Prime Day officially begins next Monday, July 16, at 3 p.m. ET, some of the Whole Foods–specific deals kick in as soon as Wednesday, July 11, and run until July 17.
The deals are as follows, according to a press release:
- Prime members who spend $10 at Whole Foods between those dates will receive $10 in Amazon account credits to use on Prime Day.
- Eligible Prime members using Amazon Prime Rewards Visas will get 10% back on up to $400 of purchases between July 14 and July 17.
- Prime members will get $10 off their first Whole Foods delivery using Prime Now if they order before July 17, as well as $10 for a future order.
- Prime members will receive discounts on certain Whole Foods items between July 11 and 17, such as two 1-pound containers of organic strawberries for $5; buy-one-get-one-free deals on Allegro bagged coffee and Honey Nut Cheerios; 30% off MegaFood Vitamins & Supplements; and other such price cuts.
The deals are the latest in a string of changes implemented by Amazon since it bought Whole Foods in 2017. Last August, the e-commerce siteannouncedit would be lowering prices of items in Whole Foods stores, as well as stocking certain items from Whole Foods's 365 brand onAmazon FreshandAmazon Pantry.
