Before this, she was the food editor at Food52, where she oversaw the site's recipe program and created an award-winning column calledBig Little Recipes. In 2021, Emma turned Big Little Recipes into herdebut cookbook, published by Ten Speed Press and named one of the best of the year byThe Washington Post.Before all that, she worked as a line cook, nocturnal baker, and freelance writer. Emma lives in the Taylor ham–half of New Jersey, not far from where she grew up, with her husband and their cat, Butter.
