Nam
Restaurant
Nam was a fine-dining restaurant in Manhattan’s TriBeCa neighborhood, from 2001 to 2009, with a focus on home-style Vietnamese cuisine. “Few of New York’s Vietnamese restaurants achieve the holy trinity of superior food, service, and decor,” said former Epicurious editor-in-chief Tanya Wenman Steel in 2005. “But Nam, located in a classic TriBeCa cast-iron building, does, and in an unassuming way. Striking light fixtures fashioned from heirloom photographs and wheatgrass centerpieces accent the room, and there is an attentive staff. All in all, a perfect place to enjoy an equally perfect lemongrass chicken with yellow rice.”
