Ingredients

Makes about 3/4 cup

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon white wine vinegar
1 garlic clove, finely minced
1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil
Sea salt
Freshly ground black pepper
  1. Whisk lemon juice, Dijon mustard, vinegar, and garlic in a medium bowl. Gradually whisk in oil. Season to taste with salt and pepper. DO AHEAD:Can be made 3 days ahead. Cover and chill. Return to room temperature before using.

  • It's a bit oily, but the proportions seem right. Tasty basic vinaigrette, easy to make, and no added sugar.

  • A bit too oily for my liking, I added more mustard, lemon juice, and vinegar to taste.

  • I ended up adding probably 2 more tablespoons of vinegar and 2 more tablespoons of mustard, as well as microplaning in an additional garlic clove. Good base recipe though.

  • This is my go to recipe for salad dressings. It has a light and refreshing taste that is always a hit. Takes just a few minutes to make and keeps well for a few days. Classic!

  • Nice, easy vinaigrette. We mixed it up and used champagne mustard and champagne vinegar for a nice alternative.
