Nonstick pans are the umbrellas of cookware—everyone has one, but most of us buy the cheap, low-quality models that only kinda, sorta get the job done. (Go ahead, fry an egg) in yours—does it slide out effortlessly? Yeah, neither did ours.)
A couple of months ago, Epicurious editors set out to find thebest nonstick pan, and today we found our favorite contender, theGreenPan Paris 10"ceramic model, on sale.
GreenPan is a newish player in the锅game, but it's quickly made a name for itself as the best alternative to Teflon, whose popularity has dipped thanks to safety concerns over itscarcinogenic chemicals. Pans in the GreenPan Paris line have a patented ceramic nonstick coating that's made without red flag-raising PFAS and PFOA. The surface is scratch-resistant, and the pan can safely be put in the oven or dishwasher. As our food editor Kat Sacks found in hernonstick pan test, the GreenPan Paris has a perfect medium weight and cooks锅cakesandfried eggsto the point where they seamlessly lift out of the pan.
The10" Paris ceramic pantypically goes for around $50, making it a cost-effective choice on its own, but the sale we found over at Bloomingdale's includes two sizes—10" and the larger 12"— for a total of $99.99, a much better deal than the 10" for $50 and the 12" for its original price of $70. The two-pan bundle is originally priced at $129.99, but if you enter the promo code "FRIENDS" when you check out, you'll get it for $79.99. The sale ends October 9, so buy it before next Monday rolls around.
