Ingredients

Serves 1.

2 ounces Pernod
1/2 ounce water
1 dash sugar syrup
1 dash Angostura bitters
3 or 4 ice cubes
  1. Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker and shake vigorously. Strain into a cocktail glass.

  • I didn't think there was much more to this than the traditional + water method of serving Pernod. I can taste the bitters for a moment at first, but the rest is all Pernod. I wouldn't serve it to anyone who dislikes anise liquors.
