Spicy Pecans

Ingredients

Makes 4 cups

1/2 stick unsalted butter
2 tablespoons tomato-based chili sauce
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning mix
4 cups pecan halves
  1. Step 1

    Preheat oven to 325°F with rack in middle.

    Step 2

    Melt butter in a small saucepan over medium heat, then stir in sauces and Cajun seasoning.

    Step 3

    Toss pecans with butter mixture in a bowl until well coated. Spread out in a large shallow baking pan and bake until crisp and browned, 20 to 30 minutes. Season lightly with salt, then cool. (Pecans will crisp even more as they cool.)

  • Sort of blah. There are better spicy nuts out there. Including a recipe from Bon Appetit from years ago that doesn't seem to be on this site. Happy I kept it!

  • Made these for Easter party. Did not have tomato based chili sauce so substituted catsup. They were delicious, buttery crisp, not too spicy and leftovers have been good for snacks and salads. Will make again
