Chicken caesar sammies

Growing up, I was always jealous of my friends who came to school with homemade packed lunches. While my options included sloppy Joes, tater tots, pizza, French fries, and chips, my best friend's mom packed her a sandwich, some type of vegetables and dip, and cookies. Best of all, her mom always included a sticky note that said, "I love you."

If you can, why not take a little extra time the night before to pack you child's lunch? Let your kid's lunchbox be the envy of his classmates.

For these lunches to be appreciated by children, it would be best that they have been taught culinary inquisitiveness in their toddler and preschool years. It is not easy to change those ingrained eating habits once they get established.

These are all great for kids who are foodies. There is no shortage of options for foodie kids. The problem lies with the non-foody kids who would eat peanut butter and jam every day if allowed (lord knows I did in the glorious days of no peanut allergies).

Some of these ideas for lunches look so good I may just have to try them myself.
I have spoken to this many times before, but as someone who has been in the lunchroom with kids for years, I have seen SO much go into the trashcans. Not only stuff from home, but the cafeteria stuff as well. (some of it, I can honestly say, I don't blame them)
It seems that some of this stuff might give those trashcans a run for their money!
