If you followChrissy Teigenon Twitter, you know that she basically live-tweets her life, which often involves food. The latest saga to go down on Chrissy's social media? #BananaGate. And it is a journey, so settle in folks.

On Sunday, the model explained on Twitter that she planned to make a swap at a Thai temple to get browned bananas to make banana bread (because it just doesn't taste right if you use perfectly yellow ones and you can't really buy brown bananas at the store). She wrote, "If I bring 4 perfect bananas to the thai temple today can I take 4 brown bananas from the mini Buddha house offerings? Making banana bread." She mentioned that her mom (who is Thai) gave her the green light for a trade, though one Twitter user said she should bring five bananas and take four so as to leave a present for the temple. While fans assumed that was the end to #BananaGate, Chrissy's ordeal resurfaced on Thursday — and things got wild.

Chrissy became so desperate—apparently the Thai temple didn't work out—that she began asking people on Twitter donate their perfectly browned bananas to her dessert cause. The supermodel andcookbookauthor penned, "ok this banana thing is getting ridiculous. don't tell me your banana browning hacks. just...if u have 6 BROWN bananas in the LA area lmk." Chrissy asked that only serious inquiries apply and requested volunteers submit a photo of themselves holding the bananas while they throw up the peace sign. Naturally, people began offering up their bananas as tribute. But this isn't just a trade for nothing; in return, Chrissy promised to send her assistant to pick up the fruit in exchange for "a signed cookbook, John's underwear, and aBecca palette." TBH that palette is worth giving up some old fruit for.

At the end of it all, she selected the Twitter user@bymegas the winner. And it turns out not only did Chrissy make good on her promise of a cookbook, underwear, and palette, but her "assistant" was actually Chrissy's adorable mom. Chrissy even promised to send the "runners-up" some of the resulting banana bread. What more could you ask for from a social media exchange?

Of course, Chrissy's cooking exploits have often been enjoyable Internet fodder, like in April when she and husband John Legend learnedhow to makeOutback's Bloomin' Onion.
