Peach, Lime, and Cardamom Sauce

Ingredients

Makes about 2 cups

1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
4 (8- to 9-ounce) peaches, peeled, halved, pitted, thinly sliced
1 cup water
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom
  1. Place lime juice in medium bowl. Add peaches and toss to coat. Stir 1 cup water, sugar, and cardamom in medium saucepan over medium heat until sugar dissolves. Increase heat; boil until syrup is reduced to generous 1/3 cup, stirring often, about 8 minutes. Mix hot syrup into peaches. Cool. DO AHEADCan be made 1 day ahead. Cover; chill.

  • made the vanilla panna cotta with mixed berry compote but wanted to add a seasonal choice of topping so decided to make this and everyone loved it...simple and can do ahead which was really nice.
