Good morning! First things first—let’s eat some of thatgranola you made yesterday. After that we'll be making homemade graham crackers and writing our very own campfire stories.

BREAKFAST

This one’s easy enough for the kids to do themselves: Layer plain yogurt, granola, and fresh berries into a bowl or parfait glass. Top with a drizzle of maple syrup or honey, if desired.

MORNING ACTIVITY

How do you make the best s'mores of your life? You start by baking your own graham crackers. Here's the recipe we're using. No need for a fancy tool to make those signature graham cracker markings—just use a bamboo skewer or the narrow end of a chopstick to poke shallow holes in the dough before baking. Let the finished crackers cool before storing in an airtight container—and don't discard those delicious scraps. (You'll be eating them for breakfast tomorrow.)

AFTERNOON ACTIVITY

Write a ghost story—or, if ghost stories are too spooky for your crew, just a regular story—to read at the campfire on Friday night! Younger kids can dictate their stories to a grown-up (or older sibling), or draw their story in pictures.

Get ready for things to get a little sticky tomorrow: we're making marshmallows! For more recipes, meal plans, and cooking tips, sign up for the小板通讯.
