The Recipes You Need After the July 4th Holiday

After a long weekend of grilling and time in the sun, you might be feeling a little cooked yourself. So stick with fast-cooking, fresh-tasting recipes that will take you to the start of the next weekend.
Tuesday: A Steak Taco Savior

如果有一个时间周二庆祝墨西哥煎玉米卷, that day is now. Make the most of your weekend grilling leftovers with an easy Tuesday night dinner of leftover steak tacos. If you made more steak than you needed (a sign of a good host, actually), there isn’t a better (or easier) way to use the extra than for tacos. Just gently reheat the meat, chop up some cilantro and radishes for a quick salsa, and fold everything together on a tortilla.

Wednesday: Refreshing Rice Noodles

Pasta salad doesn't have to be relegated to a side. Make this Mediterranean-style noodle salad for dinner with rice noodles (or soba, if you prefer) and top it off with halved cherry tomatoes, olives, and basil. It’s also open for add-ons, like shaved zucchini or any vegetables you have in the crisper drawer.

Thursday: Go Nuts for Trout

Keep that oven door closed and make this almond-crusted trout on the stovetop. While everything else cooks, bring some grits up to a simmer on the back burner to build a creamy base for the fish and sauté some Swiss chard for extra greens.

Friday: Back to the grill

Kick off the weekend with these coconut-bathed skewers, rubbed with fragrant spices, and a side of creamy yogurt.
