What to Cook This Week: Summery Seafood Dinners

Because it's not summer without fish tacos and lobster rolls.

As another crazy week rolls in, it's hard not to long for the perfect summer weekend that just passed. But you can reclaim that feeling of lounging on the beach by cooking fresh seafood all week long. With a week of dinners like this, you'll be back on the beach before you know it.

Monday: Steamed Clams

With only three ingredients, this is the simplest way to ease into the week. Pop open a bottle of beer, bring it to a boil in a large pot, toss in the clams, and let them simmer away until they're drunk and delicious. Grab some crusty bread for dipping, maybe agreen saladfor good measure, and have at it.

Tuesday: Fish Tacos

What's the ultimate way to eat flaky white fish? Deep-fried and stuffed into a corn tortilla. Cod, flounder, and tilapia fillets all work great here, just don't forget the accompaniments—fresh lime, avocado slices, and salsa are essential.

Wednesday: Crab Salad

Loaded with fresh crab meat, this salad isn't messing around. Avocado does its creamy thing; celery, radishes, and green apple do their crunchy thing; and a fresh grapefruit and ginger juice dressing tie it all together.

Thursday: Lobsta Roll

You've almost made it to the weekend, which most definitely means you deserve a lobsta roll (orlobsterroll, if you insist on being proper about it). Fresh tarragon and a touch of cayenne amp up the mayo-dressed meat in this summer classic. Grab somepotato chips, and pretend you're on the coast of Maine.

Friday: Seafood Stew

It's Friday, so get a little decadent with this San Francisco classic, which combines loads of fresh clams, shrimp, mussels, squid, and white fish into one delicious, tomatoey bowl.
