How to choose corn: Look for tight, squeaky, green husks and rows of kernels that feel taut and full when you run your hands over the cobs.
Step 1
Prepare a grill for medium heat. Grill corn, rotating occasionally, until husks are blackened (some will flake and fall off) and kernels are tender with some browned and charred spots, 25–35 minutes.
Step 2
Let corn cool slightly, then shuck. Serve with Charred Spring Onion and Sesame-Chile Butter.

Thank you, Jestat. That's a brilliant way to do it.

I am disappointed! For the new cooks, pull back the husks and remove the silk. Put the husks back in place. If you put the corn in a large pot of water for half an hour, the husks do not burn as bad and the moisture helps to steam the corn. We like the water seasoned with old bay seasoning ( which is a spicy seasoning). Afterwards, before putting on the grill, I pull the husks back and smear on my favorite olive oil or if you want use butter. Do this sparingly. Pull the husk back in place and grill. You will be much happier with your corn when you butter and eat!
