This cooked tomato salsa has a smooth, sauce-like texture that makes it perfect for dipping chips or drizzling over nachos.
Ingredients
Makes 2 Cups
Step 1
Bring a medium pot of water to a boil and cook tomatoes and garlic 2 minutes. Drain and rinse with cool water. Peel and core tomatoes.
Step 2
In a food processor or blender, blend first seven ingredients until mostly smooth. Transfer tomato mixture to a mixing bowl and fold in cilantro and onion. Taste, adjust seasoning, and serve.

Back to TopSo, this is really good salsa. Like, authentic Mexican grocery store salsa. I've been searching high and low for a recipe that tasted similar to stuff I've had in the restaurants, and this is the closest one so far!
