Passion-Fruit Caipirinha

This riff on theclassic Brazilian Caipirinhagets a dose of tropical flavor from passionfruit juice.

Ingredients

Serves 1

1/4 fresh lime, cut into 4 pieces
2 teaspoons superfine granulated sugar
3 oz (6 tablespoons) pure passion-fruit juice (preferably Looza brand)
1 1/2 oz (3 tablespoons) cachaça
  1. Add lime wedges and sugar to an 8-ounce short glass and muddle by pounding and pressing with a wooden spoon until sugar is dissolved. Fill glass with ice and add passion-fruit juice and cachaça, then stir well.

  • In Brazil we don´t make passion fruit caipirinha with lemon, is only passion fruit ,sugar and cachaça,but I liked yours.
