Back to TopI did not think this would work but was bored with the traditional version. What a fantastic surprise, these ingredients play so well together! Any basil will do so dont get hung on the Thai basil. So next time your summer grilling leans into Asian flavors, these are the perfect appetizer.

Wow, I'm shocked that I'm the first to review this. My guests LOVED it. And so did I. I have a garden with sungold cherry tomatoes, shallots and thai basil, so that worked out well for me. But you can buy shallots, any kind of small tomato and Thai or Italian basil and I bet it would be equally delicious. And I went with a simple baguette and used the incredibly easy Gourmet crostini recipe from this site.
